IN THE SHADOWS explores losing someone, making an unexpected connection, surviving while still struggling to want to live, feeling trapped inside your own mind, and a reminder to love yourself. Its eight songs move through emotional numbness, a relentless inner critic, and the comfort of being understood by another person.
Written from Lauren’s lived experiences, these songs reflect thoughts that are difficult to explain, and the effort it takes to live with them.
